Here they are! All new designs from Hero Arts released at this years CHA! Aren't the flowers stunning! The detail is incredible!  I'm ordering them all! I can't wait to get them in the store!  I'm SOOOO excited! !!! Ohhh --  for those of you who don't know every year there are two HUGE shows for the crafting industry, sponsered by the CHA ( Craft and Hobby Association).  Did I mention the thing is huge - just the stamping and scrapping section is about the size of 5 football fields.  It's designed for wholesalers from around the world to come and show there wares to retail store owners, like me!   It's overwhelming and tiring and I love every minute of it!

Stamp Club Saturday

The last Saturday of every month a group of ladies meet at the False Creek Community Centre from 9AM to 11AM.  They trade stamping ideas and cards and have a good time.  You are welcome to join us - there is a $2 drop in fee.

This month we'll be doing a couple of background techniques.   Here's the supply list -

Waterproof craft sheet or plastic bag
Water mister
Soft paint brush
Dye Re-inkers ( 2 or 3)
Stamp pads to match re-inkers
Black stamp pad
Gold or silver stamp pad
A few small stamps

Worksheet ( Something you have used a as protective paper when stamping, spraying, etc.)
Stamp pads (1 or 2) which will co-ordinate with colours on worksheet
Med size stamp (flourish, script, etc.)
Clear Embossing Powder and Embossing Ink Pad
Heat Gun

There will be extras of everything so if you don't have any of these items don't worry - bring what you have.

If it's your first time just ask at the front desk of the community centre for directions to the room.  Come in and introduce yourself. Everyone is friendly!  E-mail me with any questions!!

Love is Sweet

Valentine's at last! So here it is - pink and red, hearts and bling, lace and love. What else to you need to say Happy Valentine's Day? Stamp 'cupcake' with black ink on white and kraft coloured card, then cut out the 'white icing' and colour as shown.  Glue the 'white icing' on top of the 'kraft cupcake' image and add bling.  Stamp 'lace' image with pink ink on white card cut out and then cut in half.  Stamp 'love is sweet' with black ink on pink card and trim to fit. Assemble all pieces on a pink card as shown.  The 'cupcake' and 'love is sweet' are mounted with foam tape. Happy Anniversary

Love is in the air! Once again, not quite Valentine's but quick and simple and on the right track. Stamp in brown, colour, tear, glue and voilia!  The Happy Anniversary could easily be masked out and replaced with Happy Valentine's!

Valentines Warm up

So we've packed up the Christmas decorations and Valentine's is right around the corner but I'm not quite there yet.  So, here's a quick card to get the creative 'Valentine/Spring' juices going. Simply stamp the image in Rouge Colorbox Chalk on white card and colour in with pencil crayons.  It's been offset layered with pinks and greens.
