Just in time for Valentines some great designs from Echo Park Paper have arrived in store.  Along with all there coordinating card stock from Bazzill. With card stock names like mocha, berrylious, watermelon and piglet, the fun has just begun!

Stamp Club

Happy New Year, ladies, and our first POMA club for 2011
is this Saturday!

We're starting the year off with a couple of simple backgrounds, so
if you want to play, please bring the following...

1/4 size c/s, white or neutral
pastel chalks
eraser
cotton balls or sponge daubers
ruler

2 or 3 alcohol inks
1/4 size glossy white c/s
nonstick craft sheet
pump hair spray
paper towel
double-sided tape

It's the last Saturday of the month - that means Stamp Club!   The
Stamp Club  meets at the False Creek Community Centre on Granville
Island, the last Saturday of every month from 9:00 to 11:00. We
exchange cards and ideas, have demos and complete a few hands on
projects. There is a card swap every meeting. It is not mandatory but
if you'd like to participate in the swap please bring 10 similar
stamped projects with you. Everyone is welcome and there is a $5 drop
in fee.

Join us for coffee and a card Thursday morning from 11:00 AM to 1:00
PM.  This week Eleonor will be playing with a the Scorebug.  Stop by any time and we'll have the coffee brewing and there is a $2 drop in fee.

Mouse Love

With Valentine's day just around the corner we thought you could use a little inspiration. This adorable stamp from Penny Black is called "mouse love".  He'e been stamped in black and coloured with Copics.  Next,  mount him on a chocolate coloured panel, add red ric rac and mount the whole thing matching red card. Don't forget the bling!

Some bunny loves you!

Eleonor just couldn't keep her hands off the new Penny Black that arrived this week. They're so cute!  She'd made these great card kits using 'Bun-Bun' that say 'some bunny loves you!'  They're great for Valentines but because of the fantastic colours she used you could use them for other occasions, too.  The kit contains a hand stamped sample and the supplies for six more cards, all for $19.99.  If the card of the week 'Mouse Love' is more your style, there's a kit available for him also, just give us a call.

Coffee and A Card

It's Thursday and that means it time for 'Coffee and a Card'. Join us from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.   Since Christmas is over, and Valentines is not yet here, Eleonor designed a delightful birthday card for you to make.  Stop by any time and we'll have the coffee brewing, there is a $2 fee.

Card of the Week

Everyone's got scraps and this card is a great way to use them up!  After punching these pieces out, we used Memento Rich Cocoa, to stamp them with the 'Demi Dot Circle Frame' from Denami Design.  (Say that 10 times fast!)   The 'Happy Birthday' is stamped in Memento - Lady Bug.  Mount it all on a kraft coloured.  Finish it off with a little ribbon, a button, and more Rich Cocoa around the edge.  You'll notice, that once again, we've attacked this card with the corner rounder.  Looking back over the last couple of weeks, you'll notice we've been doing that a lot lately.  Also, lots of Rich Cocoa used in colour schemes.  We all go through trends and find ourselves grabbing for favourite things.  So what's on your desk?  We'd love to hear from you.

Coffee and a Card

Card of the Week

 This week we're playing with a new stamp from Hero Arts called Flowers and Swirls.  We've stamped it on jute coloured card stock with Memento Rich Cocoa and  coloured it with white pencil crayon. The sentiment is the same ink on white card.  After attacking it with the corner rounder,  we added some ribbon and some flat back self adhesive pink pearls, (better know as BLING!).  It's all been assembled on a white piece of card stock which was also attacked with a corner rounder.

Walls have come down. Walls have gone up. Thing have been painted green. Things have been painted white.  As you can tell, renovations are well under way. We just have a little finessing to do!  Don't worry though, we may have gotten smaller but we still carry the best selection of stamps and ink around.
