and
make a card for dad.

Don't Forget DAD!

Stamp D-A-D on three different colours of card stock.  Line up the D-A-D as shown, then FLIP OVER and cut the green and beige pieces to match the brown. Set Aside.
Stamp D-A-D on three different pattern papers.
Cut out the D-A-D on the printed paper.  Cut the right side of the DAD on the green , beige and brown paper making sure to leave it attached (this step may be omitted for younger crafters). Glue the patterned D-A-D over the matching green, beige and brown D-A-D.
Line the D-A-D up so the ends match.  Punch two holes, use eyelets to reinforce them if desired and thread the brown ribbon through and tie.
Now the base of your card is finished and you can add photos, coupons and Father’s Day greetings.  HAVE FUN!

Card Of the Week

This week we're back to basics!  With all the toys and tools that are available to us these days we forget how effective simple things like pencil crayons can be.  Here we've stamped   'Dogwood Branch' and 'Create Art' (one of my favourites) from Memorybox, on kraft cardstock using Tsukineko Rich Cocoa. Next, we dusted off the pencil crayons and coloured in the branch. Trim the cardstock, to the sizeof the word background, before mounting it on a chocolate covered mat. On another piece of kraft card stock, stampand colour 'Dogwood Branch' again as shown.  Mount the smaller mat on top and adhere the whole thing to a coral card.

Embossed Owls

Check out this cool card using Dreamweaver Stencils and Embossing paste!

This card was done using embossing paste which was coloured in using a stipple brush and some cat's eye ink pads.  The stencil we used is below.  Aren't these owls a hoot!

To finish the project, you will need some embossing paste, pigment ink (we used these cat's eye inkpads) and a metal spatula.

We have these items in stock so come on in and visit us to get started on your own dreamweaver projects!

Memory Box Dies

We just can't keep up for the demand for these dies.  They have proven to be such a popular item!  We are hopefully going to get another shipment in next week to replenish our current stock.  Some of you have ordered online and are waiting patiently.....so we thank you for your patience.

Below is an example of one of these beautiful dies.

This die is called Lavalier Circle.  We will be using this die in an upcoming Make a Card Monday, so stay tuned!

Card of the Week

Happy Monday everyone! This week's card of the week is all abou the birds.  Owls, that is!  Here is what we used to create the card.

We used the "Wildbloom" patterned paper from Memory Box's Voila collection, coordinating it with white and green cardstock.

We stamped the Owl image twice on white cardstock.  The owl on the second stamped image are then coloured and cut out.  We will use these cut out pieces to create a 3D effect by popping them up on top of the original stamped image.

Below is a close up of the card.  You can see the 3D effect by using pop dots to elevate the owl images off the card.  It adds dimension to the finished card.

And this is the final card with the ribbon detail added.  We did this to balance the card -- there is white script on one side of the card and a ribbon detail on the other.
