Do you like birds? If you do, then come on over and check out all the bird dies we have in stock from Memory Box. Below is one of our favourites.
This is the Madelaine Bird. We think she's just the perfect size for a card measuring 2 1/2" wide and 1 1/2 inches tall. Below is a card we made using this die.
If you cut the bird die twice using 2 different coordinating patterned papers, you can create 2 birds using the pieces and combining the 2 patterns. It makes for a more interesting look when you do this.
The main thing is to make sure the patterns complement each other. It was easy enough to draw the bird's eye (all we did was a row of black dots!) and then we coloured in the bird nose with a marker! There are many samples in the store to inspire you. Come and check them out!

Card of the Week
Well, it's September 3rd, school starts tomorrow and it's time to say goodbye to the hazy, lazy days of summer. We hope you are enjoying this one last long weekend before fall sets in!
This week's card is a simple card using Memory Box's Chloe Stem Die.
We cut the image out using the Big Shot twice: first in cream and a second time in purple. We then glued both pieces to a piece of Kraft cardstock, adding some hemp twine in the same purple as one of the stems. Add a greeting and mount onto a cream base, and there you have it. A simple and elegant card ready to give to that special someone!
Below is a closer look at the front panel of the card.
There are a lot of card samples using these wonderful Memory Box Dies in the store. Come on in and visit us and check out our enormous selection!

Make A Card Monday
We had another wonderful Monday morning making cards with our wonderful customers. Everyone had a great time, as usual.
For this monday, we used the new Cuttlebug Wallpaper folder with matching border. We embossed the border on yellow cardstock and then sanded it to allow some of the white core to show up. This card is simple, but so elegant!
Mondays are always a good day to visit us in the morning for this fun activity. We run this on Mondays (please check the store during holiday Mondays to see if this is running ) Hope to see you at one of our future Make a Card Mondays!

We're playing with Memory Box stamps and dies and a new Tsukineko Memento colour. We started by inking the Memory Box stamp "Museum Tag" with Memento new Espresso Truffle, stamping it on cream coloured paper and using the matching die to cut it out. We then used our favourite Tuxedo Black and stamped 'Drift Flowers' and "Wishing you...' on the tag. Accented it with Copic Markers and added a pink ribbon. Mounted the tag with foam tape on a Kraft card and a co-ordinating Memory Box paper

Make a Card Monday!
Don't forget that we are still hosting Make A Card Mondays! Contrary to what we thought, which was that we would have to put a halt to these Monday meetings for the summer, we are continuing with the fun! The good news is that we will continue to have these Monday morning sessions -- so if you want a morning of fun and crafting, do try to stop in at the market to join us. Every Monday morning from 10:30 - 12:30, join us in the atrium of the Kids Market for some creative fun. For just $2, you can create a card -- each Monday will feature a different card, so come every Monday if you can!
Below is a sneek peak of what we will be creating this Monday, July 30.

Card of the Week
New babies are always a special occasion and we've created a special card to help celebrate. We started with a cream card and add a baby blue mat. Then embossed the Cuttlebug Moroccan Screen on to cream card and highlighted it with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. The next step is to use Spellbinders Labels 19 to cut a cream layer large enough to stamp the Memory Box Sock Monkey on. Colour the monkey, we used blues and greys. Then use the largest Spellbinder from the set to cut out a baby blue label to mount the sock monkey on with foam tape. Cut Memory Box Charlotte Boarder die from cream card stock and embellish with pearls. Assemble layers and add bow as shown.
