Crafty Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us here at I'm Impressed!  We thought we’d share this quick and easy fall craft idea with you, great for place cards at your Thanksgiving table or a favour afterward.

We simply cut out a pillbox from kraft card  and then used the leaves from Sizzix Thinlits Dies Fall Foliage by Tim Holtz to create windows. Covered the holes with piece of acetate using double back tape and assembled the pillbox.  We then embellished the box with twine and more leaves we cut out using the same set. We kept it clean and simple but this project has so much potential.  OH! I almost forgot the last step, we  filled it with E.T’s  favourite Reeses pieces! Did I just date myself there??

Texture Fades easily emboss in such a way that select areas of the image appear perfectly faded and distressed. You can turn ordinary cardstock, paper, metallic foil or vellum into an embossed, textured masterpiece.

In this class we will create three mixed media cards focusing on the textures and colour variations that can be created with texture pastes, glaze, stamps, and stencils.
