Customer Appreciation Night

Everyone was in the holiday spirit as we created the great make and takes from Hero Arts - using all new stamps from 2010 Catalog. Even this old dog learned some new tricks  --  did you know you could tint your Perfect Pearls and then paint with them? Ask for a demo next time your in!

Why are  Cynthia and Sandra so happy? Could it be the fabulous new designs from Hero Arts that they're checking out? Did they find their favs from the Hero Arts Blog Hop? Or could be the delightful door prizes that they won?

BTW - Who ate all the shortbread? I didn't get any:(

Custom Stamps

Did you know we make custom stamps?  Whether just a simple return address stamp, a personalized "Created by Sally" or your (or your child's) very own art work. Check out this great Martha link! Anything you can bring us in black and white we can turn into a stamp.  Orders that are in Monday are back by Friday and pricing depends on size and whether you want self inking or regular.  Looking for a great gift under $20 for a teacher or that person who has everything, how about a custom stamp that says "This book belongs to Zoey"

Website Down

Just a post to let you know that our website www.imimpressed.ca is down.  The tech guy said 'the server blew up'.  I would have liked to have seen that, but I'm sure it wasn't as kewl as it sounds:)  Anyway, they've run into some difficulties and he keeps saying a couple more days - I'll just keep my fingers crossed.

Busy Elf

Santa looked at his list, he even check it twice and he found that you haven't been nice!  Since coal's so expensive, here's the scoop .... he's filling your stocking with reindeer poop!!!

Our stamping Elf Eleonor has been busy in her workshop making POOP!  She's used these great little spice jars that you can get at the dollar store and stuffed them with everybody's favourite - CHOCOLATE!  It's a great idea for stockings and hosts gifts.  If you've got no time to make it yourself this year --we do have them available at the store.

The count down has begun!

24 days until Christmas! It's official - my son opened the first drawer in his advent calendar today.  Have you started your cards yet? If you're feeling the time crunch - here's a quick idea.
Simply stamped in black ink this holiday tree is ablaze with tiny button accents, easily attached with glue. You may wish, color is added to the tree with the use of a triangle make-up sponge and ink pad to create an airbrush look. A variegated effect can be achieved by dabbing small ink pads over the tree. The whimsical red heart is created from an ordinary paper clip and ribbon.

Time to Get Ready for the Holidays!

Yes, it'll be here before you know it.  We're so excited about the holidays at the store that we've already started to play the odd Christmas song now and then.  The Christmas decorations are slowly going up as well.  There are loads of Christmas ideas to get your holiday gift giving off to a good start.  Here's a look at what we have in store!
Remember those colourful numbers we painted in bright colours a few posts back?  Well, here is the final project.  An advent calendar!  This was created by our very own talented Ceci.

Next is this wonderful gift idea from Kaisercraft:

This chipboard Christmas tree book is easy to cover up and add your holiday photos to.

This is what it looks like finished.  The actual book was designed by our talented Bind-it-All expert, Fleur Smith.........and don't worry about paper selection....we have that in the store, too!

Come and see all we have to offer for the coming holidays!  We'll be happy to help you create gifts for all the people on your Christmas list.

How was everyone's Halloween?  We hope everyone had a fun and safe night out with your little trick or treaters!  We had fun at the store and enjoyed giving out candy to many little goblins, witches, spidermen, policemen, fairies, ladybugs, lions, monkeys......you name it, we saw them all.  Cutie pies, all of them!  Here are some highlights!

What's New -- LOTS!

We haven't posted in over a week....but there's a good reason!  We've had lots of new stock come in and we've been so excited opening boxes and checking out all the new toys!  Before we get into that, are you ready for Halloween??  Fall is here and Halloween is coming up and if you haven't yet made those fall and Halloween cards, we have card kits to help you out.  You can buy them at the store or online here.  Check out our fall selection at the store!

We also have some fantastic new stamps that have arrived, including the Thomas Kincade and Friendly Kritter series of stamps from Cornish Heritage Stamps.

The Thomas Kincade stamps may look daunting and challenging to use, but they are beautiful to look at when done....and easier to handle than you think!  An easy way to stamp these gorgeous stamps is by inking up the entire stamp in once colour then adding glitter over the entire surface.  So elegant!

Come into the store and let us show you how!

We also have some new scrapbooking kits, Christmas 12X12 paper from Kaisercraft, Magenta and Imaginisce and paper pads as well. And with Christmas just around the corner, we worked on one of our Christmas kits yesterday -- here's a sneek peak at the cute project:

Can ya' guess what it is?  Stay tuned....we'll post a pic of the finished project in a couple of days.

Sheee's Baaack!

For all of you who took Cathie Allen's classes at STAMP OUT BREAST CANCER --she's back.  Cathie is teaching three fabulous Christmas classes at BC CREATIVE EXPO. Here's a special peak at the projects!  I wish I had time to take the classes! Well worth a trip over the bridge for all you Vancouverites!  For more info or to register go to BC Creative EXPO

Snowflake Wonder Wreath
So you really have to see this to appreciate it.  It's a page and you can see thru the center and the little photo's flip and it's shimmers and ...

I think it's my favourite but then again check out ....

BE SPARKLY-  BE JOYFUL
With a name like that you know it's going to be fun.  Definitely sparkly,  you open it up and there are windows of sugarbeads ......

Technique Treasure
So this is the class that you take if you want to take your projects to the next level - I think Cathie has forgotten more about stamping then I'll ever know.  And though the other projects are stunning this is the one you'll learn the most.

2 New Christmas Card Kits!

We have just released 2 more Christmas card kits! These are so cute. Here are some pics, but you really do need to see these in real life to appreciate them!

This kit really sparkles! We used one of the new Spellbinder snowflake dies to create a snowflake that you add glitter to -- it already comes cut with double sided tape and the glitter comes in the kit! No worry and no fuss! See the close up below.

And this is the second card that comes in kit form.

Once again, the kit will include the glitter for the reindeer's nose and the circle scallops as well.

The kits are $19.99 each, and can be purchased here. All of the kits come complete to create between 6 - 8 cards.
We are busy making more kits, so stay tuned!

School's back in session and though judging by today's weather, summer has decided to linger a little bit longer, fall is definitely on its way.
