Ceci used this Hollyhock stamp from Penny Black to create a lovely side step card. She stamped it twice using Rich Cocoa Memento once on blue card and the other on white card stock which she coloured in with Copic Markers. Stop by the store, Ceci will be glad to give you a quick demo on how she made it.

Card of the Week
This week's card started a with a a white card. We added a red mat that we cut a heart out of using Cupids Heart a Memory Box Die. The next step is to emboss with Cuttlebug's Textile Texture and then sand. We then also used Memory box dies Grove Branch and Perched Bird to create the birds and the branch.

Card of the Week
A Little Halloween Fun
Last week, Eleonor blogged about finding a spider in the bottom of a box of craft supplies, it was very amusing. So in honor of her bravery, I created this as card of the week. The paper is from Memory Box stamped and distressed in black. The glittered spider (a Martha punch) is dangling in a foam tape mounted window created with a Poppystamps' die.

Card of the Week
The first thing I did was cut out "MERRY" in red card and "CHRISTMAS" in white card using the Memory Box Classic Upper Alphabet. Mount the "CHRISTMAS" on a strip of red card. I recommend using something like Aleene's Tacky Glue, the drying time gives you a chance to finesse the letters. I then positioned the red strip on the card, where I wanted it, and drew a pencil line across the top before I set the red strip aside. I stamped the middle bear first with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and then positioned the other bears accordingly at slightly varying heights. To finish, I glued the red letters and the red strip in place.

Don't Forget DAD!
Stamp D-A-D on three different colours of card stock. Line up the D-A-D as shown, then FLIP OVER and cut the green and beige pieces to match the brown. Set Aside.
Stamp D-A-D on three different pattern papers.
Cut out the D-A-D on the printed paper. Cut the right side of the DAD on the green , beige and brown paper making sure to leave it attached (this step may be omitted for younger crafters). Glue the patterned D-A-D over the matching green, beige and brown D-A-D.
Line the D-A-D up so the ends match. Punch two holes, use eyelets to reinforce them if desired and thread the brown ribbon through and tie.
Now the base of your card is finished and you can add photos, coupons and Father’s Day greetings. HAVE FUN!

Card Of the Week
This week we're back to basics! With all the toys and tools that are available to us these days we forget how effective simple things like pencil crayons can be. Here we've stamped 'Dogwood Branch' and 'Create Art' (one of my favourites) from Memorybox, on kraft cardstock using Tsukineko Rich Cocoa. Next, we dusted off the pencil crayons and coloured in the branch. Trim the cardstock, to the sizeof the word background, before mounting it on a chocolate covered mat. On another piece of kraft card stock, stampand colour 'Dogwood Branch' again as shown. Mount the smaller mat on top and adhere the whole thing to a coral card.

The card of the week uses the Stampendous set called Happy Flowers. It is an unmounted set made of over 15 stamps that can be mixed and matched to make many different flower designs. This is what we made:
The summery mix of lavender, green and golden yellow makes this the perfect card to celebrate summer!

card of the week
A little inspiration now that the cherry blossoms are finally out in full glory. We've taken this lovely Penny Black image and stamped repeatedly on sage green card with Versamark to create this matching watermarked backed ground. It's one of those simple techniques that so effective. The image has been stamped in black on white card and coloured with Copics. For that little extra pearls were added to the center of the flowers.
