Old Island Stamp

Joining us at Stamp Out Breast Cancer this weekend will be Dawne from Old Island Stamp.  The cherry blossom above is one of the latest releases from there website to celebrate spring. I can't wait to get it in the store.  Check out the website for ideas with this image. For the weekend she is bringing us designs so new they're not even on their website, yet. (think Christmas!)  Also for those of you who are into unmounted, Dawne carries EZ Mount.

Class Spotlight, Take 3

Today's instructor spotlight is on Eleonor McGarry.  Eleonor's class is called Pendants & Resist and will involve the use of Nestabilities Pendant Die and Tim Holtz Distress inkpads.  You will make 4 cards, 2 with the dies and 2 with the distress inks.  You will use a resist technique in one of the cards and learn a second technique using spray misters to achieve the most wonderful background paper.  The Distress inks are specially formulated to be used with water to create a multitude of effects.  The ink line has grown from it's original 12 colors to include 24 amazing inks with fun names like Barn Door, Bundled Sage and Rusty Hinge.  In this class you will get to use 2 of the new colours -- Chipped Sapphire and Tumbled Glass.
Read more about the class here.
