Time to Feed the Birds

One of the most fun things to do while visiting Granville Island is feeding the birds.  Bird food can be purchased on site and all the ducks will gladly come and be your best friend for the day if you give them food.

All the birds love to come up right to you and they don't shy away from the camera either.  They love getting their pictures taken!

Designs in a Flash

In a rush?  These design transfer sheets will allow you to create a design on your card in a flash!  The adhesive on each design is good for use with embossing powders, flock or glitter.  The best thing about this product is it creates a design that looks like you took a while to make it....but in actuality it takes just a few seconds.

For this card we used the design adhesive sheet to transfer a floral design on Chocolate cardstock using peacock blue glitter.  There are endless colour combinations and possibilities when working with glitter and cardstock and these transfers.

Railspur Alley

Have you wandered around Granville Island?   There are so many things to do and see.  Next time you come and visit, make sure you walk down to Railspur Alley and visit all the cool little shops.  On a sunny day you can spend an entire afternoon here!  There are many little shops that feature wonderful silk scarves, one of a kind hats, not to mention the Granville Island Gallery and the Gallery of B.C. Ceramics.  An interesting little shop is the Artisan Sake Maker where sake is made onsite.  If you've never tried sake, this is the place to visit!  So next time you come and stop in to say hello to us, make sure you have enough time to explore!

Card of the Week

Hello stamping friends!  It's a beautiful sunny day here in Granville Island so what better way to finally welcome summer than with a flower card!  The card of the week uses the Stampendous set called Happy Flowers.  It is an unmounted set made of over 15 stamps that can be mixed and matched to make many different flower designs.  This is what we made:

The summery mix of lavender, green and golden yellow makes this the perfect card to celebrate summer!
The kit to create this card is also available for purchase -- it will include instructions and full colour pictures so you can make your own set of 4 cards.  Kits are available in the store as well as online.
