Talking about 'New Hatched' I have just finished posting the Stamp Out Breast Cancer website. It's the 'first draft' and will be filling out rapidly out over the next few days.

Stamp Club this Saturday

The Stamp Club usually meets at the False Creek Community Centre on Granville Island, the last Saturday of every month from 9:00 to 11:00. We exchange cards and ideas, have demos and complete a few hands on projects. There is a card swap every meeting. If you'd like to participate in the swap please bring 10 similar stamped projects with you. Everyone is welcome and there is a $5 drop in fee.

Helen will be demoing the push/pull slider card. Please bring the following supplies:
basic kit: paper trimmer w/cutting blade & scoring blade (or stylus), bone folder, scissors, exacto knife, cutting mat, adhesives (double-sided tape or glue runner & regular tape), ruler, pencil, eraser
- cardstock (full sheets, in 2-3 coordinating colours)
- stamps, inks in coordinating colours w/the cardstock
- strip of plastic shopping bag, 1" by 11"
- optional: ribbon - widthwide enough to fit through 1/8" or 1/4" opening
If you have the following punches, please bring with you (I'll be bringing mine)
square: 1", 1-1/8" or 1-1/4"
circle: 1", 1-1/8" or 1-1/4"
circle: 1/8" or 1/4"
corner rounder
She'll also be demoing an origami vase.
If you have 6"x6" origami paper, please bring a few sheets.

Local Stamper Published


The new Stamper's Sampler Catch Up Issue has arrived! over 500 stunning stamped samples! I have pursued the pages and found some very talented Canucks have been featured -- a special shout out to our very own Stella Leung who has been published once again. Stella is a member of Part of my Art - our local Vancouver Stamp Club that meets at the False Creek Community Centre the last Saturday of every month from 9 to 11. Everyone is welcome - the drop in fee is $5. The ladies are wonderful and there is always a great demo or two. For more information email me at raya@imimpressed.ca

The Latest

Talk about a herd of turtles! It might be more interesting to watch the grass grow then following this blog. So here is a quick update - class schedule posted on the website, in store ALL MAGAZINES are on 2 for 1, A Muse a palooza is back in July, and at the end of May we are doing STAMP OUT BREAST CANCER. May 30 and 31 we are having our first 'stamp camp' and with the profits going to breast cancer research. Julie Ebersole from A Muse, Rebeka from Denami and Cathie Allan from Canadian Scrapbooker will all be here to teach classes.
