Introducing …. The “Taos” pigment, Paintbox, stamp pad. Look out stamping / inking world the Taos pad has arrived and we are going to give it a thorough work out in this class. We’ll be creating this “triptych” style card/gift using die cuts, Art Screens, stamps, ink, embossing powder and a multitude of “Cathie inking techniques”. This class will empower you with the ability to turn a world of “white everything” into “a world of colour”. This class is loaded with “inkspirational” ideas that can be used in so many formats, from cards, to scrapbook pages, to journal pages and more. Cost $45 This Monday July 14, 2014, 10AM, Cost $45. Stardust Technique 

Thursday April 17  10:30-12:30

Do you enjoy creating your own textured backgrounds? Does the idea of a new technique in your toolbox of crafting get you all excited? Then you will LOVE this class. Jessie Hurley will show you how to create beautiful backgrounds that will work with your card creations, scrapbook pages AND mixed media projects. Get away from the everyday mixed media techniques, and add some "Stardust" to your paper crafting projects!

Supplies you need to bring to class include, adhesives, foam pop-ups, scissors, a corner rounder, a bone folder and a black ink pad IF you like to ink your edges. Cost $35

Watercolour Greetings (with Eleonor)

 Saturday April 9th from 10 - 12 or Saturday April 23rd from 1-3

We will use brand new stamps from Hero Arts as well as Distress Inks to make eye catching cards that have that watercolour look -- without ever having to pick up a paintbrush!  Don't believe it?  Join the class and see for yourself! Cost $20

Spring Has Sprung (with Eleonor)

Goodbye snow and ice.  It's time for the flowers to bloom and for the sun to shine.  And even if Spring comes late this year, don't worry.....join this class and have Spring come to you, when you want it to!   We will make 3 spring themed cards that will chase away the winter blahs for sure.  One of our cards will be a one of a kind gift card holder. Birthday Bash (with Eleonor)

You can never have enough birthday cards.  Why not have a stash of cards ready?  In this class you will make 3 unique birthday cards. A faux linen technique as well as  learning different ways to incorporate the scor-pal to create design elements for your card. Cost $20

 Springtime Symphony (with Raya)

Tuesday April 12 from 7 - 9

Celebrate the beauty of spring with fresh blooms, delightful butterflies and some gorgeous tree images from Memory Box.  We'll use a palate of bubblegum pink, pool blue and keylime papers along markers and a touch of glitter to create shimmering water.  Cost $20

 The Colour Purple (with Raya)

I think I've mentioned a few times my affinity for purple.  As it turns out, when I'm making cards, it tends to be a colour I gravitate toward.  I figure why fight it!  Join me tonight and make three lovely cards all featuring the colour purple.  Cost $20

 One Stamp Three Ideas (with Raya)

The title says it all. Use one stamp to create three very different cards. Raya will  INSPIRE you to make three great cards all featuring the same stamp. We'll play with a little resist, some paper piecing and do some great direct to paper techniques.   Cost $20

Christmas Classes

 

We're adding more Christmas Classes! Eleonor is busy with the latest images from Hero Arts designing cards for you.  Classes will be Saturday morning from 10:00 to noon and cost $18. Christmas projects Nov 6, Nov 20, Dec 4 and a tag class for Dec 18th. Space is limited call to register 604-684-4657

Name That Stamp, Day 1 and Class Samples!

Finally, we can show you the class samples with the new A-Muse stamps released for Amuse*a*Palooza 2010!  We've had the stamps and samples hidden in the store for almost 2 weeks now....and couldn't show you.  Do you know how hard that was to do?????  But no more....today, you get to see for yourself.  First, the challenge.  Can you name this stamp?  If you can call the store and let them know to qualify to receive $500 in loot.  Be the first to come into the store to name the stamp and you get $1000 in loot!

Now the classes!  Here is Raya's A*Musing Holidays class scheduled for Tuesday, July 13 from 7 - 9 PM

In this class you will make 3 cards and a treat container with tag.

Below is Eleonor's A*Musing Winter class scheduled for July 18 from 11 - 1 PM.  This class will be taught in Richmond in Eleonor's studio.

And last but not the least, below is Eleonor's A*Musing Christmas class scheduled for Sunday, July 18 from 3 - 5 PM.  This class will be taught in Richmond in Eleonor's studio.

The red, white and brown card with the snowflake embellishment is interactive.  When the brown ribbon is untied, an accordon foldout opens up showing a christmas scene inside. The fourth card in this class is below.

The green card in the class is a magic card....it starts off black and white.....

...but when you pull the ribbon, the image magically appears in colour!!

The pictures on our blog do not do the cards justice, so do try and come into the store to see them in person.  They will be appreciated more that way!

What is A*Muse*a*palooza? A*Muse*a*palooza is a product launch party. We have all heard about fancy fashion shows in Paris, exclusive CD release parties in Toronto and movie premiers in Hollywood. Well, A Muse is bringing this same concept to multiple locations across Canada, US and Europe. Imagine a big party where the guest of honour is a brand new line of stamps that the attendees get to see weeks in advance of the general public. Talk about exclusive! A*muse*a*palooza is be the biggest stamping event of the summer. We have many fabulous challenges and loot to give away during the 5th Annual A-MUSE-A-PALOOZA celebration.

Here's how it will work: July 10th through the 17th I'm Impressed will be hosting A*muse*a*palooza events. There will be make and takes, contests, fabulous classes, refreshments, and our Friday night auction.  This year's event promises to be loads of  fun!

As always, there will be a free make'n'take offered everday from July 10 - 17, 2010 between 11 - 2 PM.  Just come on into the store and make your project!

Friday Night Surfin' Santa Party - Friday, July 16, 2010 from 7 - 9 PM.

Come to this fun night wearing a Christmas t-shirt (or any Christmas themed outfit!) and receive an extra $1000 in loot.

There's gonna be a quiz to complete on this night and if you complete the quiz, you also get an extra $1000 in loot.  Each correct answer gives you $100 in loot.  It's gonna be a surprise so don't even think of asking us what the quiz is gonna be, cause we're saying nothin' about it.  Mums the word.  You just have to come that night and find out!

Christmas Gift Tag Exchange:  SO MUCH FUN!!

 - a fun way for everyone to build up their Xmas gift tag supply!  Each person that joins will need to make 10 gift tags using Amuse stamps and put them in a baggie, ready to exchange.  There is no cost to join other than a call to the store to say you want to be included in the exchange.  The exchange will run once there are at least 10 people who have joined.  Remember to make gift tags, not full size cards. 

This is the night when we have our exciting AMUSEAPALOOZA Auction.  Bring in all the A*muse*a*paloot you've earned leading up to this day and spend, spend, spend.  Win big if you can outbid the others!

Refreshments and fun starting at 7:00PM!!!  Come and enjoy sweet treats on us.   And of course, the night would not be complete if there were no make n' takes -- so of course you'll be making those too!

What is A*Muse*a*paloot?

Starting June 30th every dollar you spend in the store receive $10 in A*muse*a*paloot. Sign up for a class receive and extra $1000 in A*muse*a*paloot. Bring a friend to a class and earn more! Drop off a card sample (3 per day max) for us to display in the store and receive $500 in A*muse*a*paloot. (Note: cards must use at least one Amuse stamp).  Wear your A*Muse*a*palooza t-shirt to the store for any event and earn $1000 in A*muse*a*paloot.  A*muse*a*paloot will be the only currency for our A*muse Auction. Please contact the store for further information on these events. Pre-registration is required for classes. Remember they sold out fast last year!

Name that Stamp

Each day between July 10 and 16 we will be posting partial images of current A Muse Stamps on our blog. If you can name that stamp you'll win $500 in A*mus*a*paloot - or be the first to arrive at the store with the correct guess  and win $1000 in A*mus*a*paloot.

A Muse Scavenger Hunt

We're putting together a list of 15 A Muse*ing things - the person who collects the most things from that list and turns it in by July 16th wins! Starting July 10th - pick up your list at the store or down load it here. The list will be available on July 9.

This snow filled and glitterful (is that even a word?.....whatever, Eleonor thinks so and thus we're gonna say it is....!) class will cool you down in the heat of July.  Come and get in the spirit of coolness and join Eleonor as you create 4 cool cards.  Get inspird and enjoy some rolickin' winter fun.

A*Musing Christmas    $20

It's never too early to start making those Christmas Cards!!  Be the first to say "I'm done!" when someone asks you if you're ready for Christmas!  In this class you will make 4 Christmas cards, including a magic card.  Is it black and white.....or is it in colour?????  Find out......

A*Musing Holidays    $20

Great all new holiday projects using the new stamps from A Muse.  Join Raya at the store as she shows you 4 'A MUSEing' projects, including a treat container for Holiday goodies!  This is always a popular class even if the samples are kept secret. Go home with four projects in total and start dreaming of a white Christmas.
