Stamp Club - June 26

We want to remind you that the Stamp Club will be meeting again this month. For this month, it will be on Saturday, June 26 from 9 - 11 AM at the False Creek Community  Centre. You are welcome to drop by to trade stamping ideas and to have a great time!  The drop in fee is $5.  There is a card swap every meeting if you'd like to partake bring 10 cards with you.

Stella will demoing three background techniques at Stamp Club this week. 
 
Please bring the following supplies:

*glossy white cardstock (cut into quarters)
*regular white cardstock (cut into quarters)
*rainbow dye ink pad (such as Big & Juicy)
*Perfect Pearls or Pearl Ex with a binder (you need only one or two colours, any will do)
*paper towels
*two brushes to apply the Perfect Pearls or Pearl Ex (one for a wet application, one for a dry application)
*bring a palette to mix the Perfect Pearls/ Pearl Ex,
*paper towels
*a fine-mist spray bottle plus, if you have one, a spray bottle that's not so fine-mist, more droplets-like (probably that one you've been meaning to throw out)
*alcohol inks - 3 to 5 coordinating colours
*alcohol ink blending solution
*bring a large non-stick craft sheet or an old newspaper to protect the work surface

New Cuttlebug Arrivals! Bigger and better then ever!

Cuttlebug now supports 12 inch dies!   So there are some great new Cuttlebug items that have arrived at the store. Some fabulous new folders, some beautiful new 12″ borders (butterflies and birdcages) , new 12″ plates to accommodate them. I have included some pictures to give you a preview - scroll  down through them and let me know what you think!

Kids Market Customer Appreciation Program

Rainbow Rewards- Just save your receipts from purchases at Kids Market and for every $100 you spend (excluding taxes) you receive a $5.00 gift certificate, redeemable at any of the 27 stores at Kids Market. Bring the receipts to the Kids Market administration office Monday through Friday, 10am to 4pm for processing, or leave the receipts at the office and we will gladly mail the receipts and gift certificate to you. What a great excuse to come stock up!  From June 11 to 13, I’m Impressed will donate 25% of the sales from all reciepts submitted to Lord Tennyson school.   Stop by the store this weekend and pick up all your crafting needs and simply submit your receipt there or drop it in the box outside the school office before June 18th. 

Rain, Rain...

...don't go away!  It gives me an excuse to STAMP! So I'm on line looking for a little inspiration and I found this card on the Hero Arts site.  I LOVE IT!  First,  for those of you who don't know - I'm a purple freak.   Green being a close second.  Next the saying -- to me that what card making is all about.   I'm not one to wax poetic about my daily life in a letter, but I will spend time thinking about my friends as I make them card.  And at last the layout,  one repeated image in the bottom left hand corner in three tones.  The message over stamped in black.  A little bling and volia!  Classic and clean.  I'm going to get to work on some variations of this with the stamps I have.  If you're having your own rain day, I'd love to see how this card inspires you.  If you can't post them yourself - email them to me and I'll do it.
