Name That Stamp, Day 1 and Class Samples!

Finally, we can show you the class samples with the new A-Muse stamps released for Amuse*a*Palooza 2010!  We've had the stamps and samples hidden in the store for almost 2 weeks now....and couldn't show you.  Do you know how hard that was to do?????  But no more....today, you get to see for yourself.  First, the challenge.  Can you name this stamp?  If you can call the store and let them know to qualify to receive $500 in loot.  Be the first to come into the store to name the stamp and you get $1000 in loot!

Now the classes!  Here is Raya's A*Musing Holidays class scheduled for Tuesday, July 13 from 7 - 9 PM

In this class you will make 3 cards and a treat container with tag.

Below is Eleonor's A*Musing Winter class scheduled for July 18 from 11 - 1 PM.  This class will be taught in Richmond in Eleonor's studio.

And last but not the least, below is Eleonor's A*Musing Christmas class scheduled for Sunday, July 18 from 3 - 5 PM.  This class will be taught in Richmond in Eleonor's studio.

The red, white and brown card with the snowflake embellishment is interactive.  When the brown ribbon is untied, an accordon foldout opens up showing a christmas scene inside. The fourth card in this class is below.

The green card in the class is a magic card....it starts off black and white.....

...but when you pull the ribbon, the image magically appears in colour!!

The pictures on our blog do not do the cards justice, so do try and come into the store to see them in person.  They will be appreciated more that way!

A*Muse Scavenger Hunt

Hi everyone!  Eleonor here.....I'm not supposed to show you this list till July 9, which is tomorrow...but it's almost midnight and I'm going to turn into a pumpkin soon so here it is!  If I don't do it now, I know I will forget.  Besides, with only 10 minutes left, it might as well be tomorrow.

The hunt is on!  Below is the list of 15 things for this year's Amuse*a*Palooza Scavenger Hunt.  Everyone joining the hunt can try their luck and bring in whatever they can find on or before July 16.  For each item you find, you will receive $100 in Amuse*a*paloot!  Be the first to bring in all 15 things and receive an extra $1000 in loot for a total of $2500!

Amuse-a-Palooza Classes!

Have you signed up yet?  If not, better do so now to avoid disappointment.  We can't show you any of the images, but here's a sneek peak of one of the cards featured in Eleonor's A-Musing Christmas class on July 11 from 11 - 1 PM. 

We wanted you to see what you would make.....but the rest is a surprise and we blurred out the images on this one.  This cute card uses faux stitiching to create borders dividing the image and the greeting.

Join us for this special Christmas in July class.   We’ll show you how to make four cards for the holiday that will have you humming Christmas carols.   Once you learn these simple yet stunning cards you'll be able to get a jump on those Christmas cards for Eleonor's Studio. this year.  Cost $20

Celebrating the Sweet Things
Tuesday, July 27    7 - 9PM
If there's one thing better than "inky fingers", it's fingers covered in frosting!  My recipes aren't fatting at all!  We'll be making cupcakes with ink, paper and glitter instead of flour and sugar. Perfect birthday cards or for that ‘some one sweet.’ In your life.   Cost $20


One Stamp Four Ideas

Just the Basics (aka beginner class)

Just starting and you want to learn the basics?  This class is for you. Join Raya for a class  to learn everything you'll need to get going. This is where it all starts - learn about different inks, stamp care, masking, shadow techniques, and embossing. You will go home with three projects and a bunch of great ideas!  Cost $20

    Asian Inspiration

Start with the simplicity of Asian themed stamps and add the key to any beautiful handmade card -  eye-catching colour. Fabulous colour combinations can be achieved through paper, inking techniques, and stamping This and more will be explored in this class. Cost $20


 
Just a Note (Bind it All Class)

Join Fleur in creating a one of a kind post-it-note holder using the Bind-It-All, Bo Bunny papers and Hero Arts stamps.  In this class you will learn the basics of the Bind-It-All and have fun punching
and binding your very own note holder. Cost $16

The Stamp Club meets at the community centre on Granville Island, the last Saturday of every month from 9:00 to 11:0.  We exchange cards and ideas, have demos and complete a few  hands on projects.  Everyone is welcome and there is a $5 drop in fee. There is a card swap every meeting. If you'd like to  participate please bring 10 similar stamped projects with you.

What is A*Muse*a*palooza? A*Muse*a*palooza is a product launch party. We have all heard about fancy fashion shows in Paris, exclusive CD release parties in Toronto and movie premiers in Hollywood. Well, A Muse is bringing this same concept to multiple locations across Canada, US and Europe. Imagine a big party where the guest of honour is a brand new line of stamps that the attendees get to see weeks in advance of the general public. Talk about exclusive! A*muse*a*palooza is be the biggest stamping event of the summer. We have many fabulous challenges and loot to give away during the 5th Annual A-MUSE-A-PALOOZA celebration.

Here's how it will work: July 10th through the 17th I'm Impressed will be hosting A*muse*a*palooza events. There will be make and takes, contests, fabulous classes, refreshments, and our Friday night auction.  This year's event promises to be loads of  fun!

As always, there will be a free make'n'take offered everday from July 10 - 17, 2010 between 11 - 2 PM.  Just come on into the store and make your project!

Friday Night Surfin' Santa Party - Friday, July 16, 2010 from 7 - 9 PM.

Come to this fun night wearing a Christmas t-shirt (or any Christmas themed outfit!) and receive an extra $1000 in loot.

There's gonna be a quiz to complete on this night and if you complete the quiz, you also get an extra $1000 in loot.  Each correct answer gives you $100 in loot.  It's gonna be a surprise so don't even think of asking us what the quiz is gonna be, cause we're saying nothin' about it.  Mums the word.  You just have to come that night and find out!

Christmas Gift Tag Exchange:  SO MUCH FUN!!

 - a fun way for everyone to build up their Xmas gift tag supply!  Each person that joins will need to make 10 gift tags using Amuse stamps and put them in a baggie, ready to exchange.  There is no cost to join other than a call to the store to say you want to be included in the exchange.  The exchange will run once there are at least 10 people who have joined.  Remember to make gift tags, not full size cards. 

This is the night when we have our exciting AMUSEAPALOOZA Auction.  Bring in all the A*muse*a*paloot you've earned leading up to this day and spend, spend, spend.  Win big if you can outbid the others!

Refreshments and fun starting at 7:00PM!!!  Come and enjoy sweet treats on us.   And of course, the night would not be complete if there were no make n' takes -- so of course you'll be making those too!

What is A*Muse*a*paloot?

Starting June 30th every dollar you spend in the store receive $10 in A*muse*a*paloot. Sign up for a class receive and extra $1000 in A*muse*a*paloot. Bring a friend to a class and earn more! Drop off a card sample (3 per day max) for us to display in the store and receive $500 in A*muse*a*paloot. (Note: cards must use at least one Amuse stamp).  Wear your A*Muse*a*palooza t-shirt to the store for any event and earn $1000 in A*muse*a*paloot.  A*muse*a*paloot will be the only currency for our A*muse Auction. Please contact the store for further information on these events. Pre-registration is required for classes. Remember they sold out fast last year!

Name that Stamp

Each day between July 10 and 16 we will be posting partial images of current A Muse Stamps on our blog. If you can name that stamp you'll win $500 in A*mus*a*paloot - or be the first to arrive at the store with the correct guess  and win $1000 in A*mus*a*paloot.

A Muse Scavenger Hunt

We're putting together a list of 15 A Muse*ing things - the person who collects the most things from that list and turns it in by July 16th wins! Starting July 10th - pick up your list at the store or down load it here. The list will be available on July 9.

This snow filled and glitterful (is that even a word?.....whatever, Eleonor thinks so and thus we're gonna say it is....!) class will cool you down in the heat of July.  Come and get in the spirit of coolness and join Eleonor as you create 4 cool cards.  Get inspird and enjoy some rolickin' winter fun.

It's never too early to start making those Christmas Cards!!  Be the first to say "I'm done!" when someone asks you if you're ready for Christmas!  In this class you will make 4 Christmas cards, including a magic card.  Is it black and white.....or is it in colour?????  Find out......
